The Coldest

It’s January 2026, and baby… it’s cold outside in the South.

The temperature is reading 2°, the roads are icy, and—believe it or not—trees are literally exploding from the pressure of ice and cold. I didn’t even know that was a thing, but here we are.

Moments like this always remind me that while we’re all on our own journeys, kindness still matters. Check on your people. Show a little grace to strangers. You never know who’s experiencing something life-changing in real time.

Many are without power right now, and it brought back a memory from years ago when a storm knocked electricity out in my neighborhood. My neighbors were elderly sisters, and one relied on an oxygen tank that needed power. I didn’t fully understand how it worked—I just knew it mattered. I helped connect EMS so they could get what they needed.

It was nothing big. I charged phones in my car. Let people sit inside my car for air. Small gestures—but necessary ones.

It’s definitely no Tennessee summer right now, but still… moments like this ask us to be a little more human with each other.

So wherever you are today, if you can, show kindness where you can.

Anyway, thats what I was thinking about today.

All the best
